Critical roads get needed rehabilitation
The bridges and culverts that span the many drains and canals that cut across the major highways in Guyana’s coastal plain are being rehabilitated in a program to improve the quality of the country’s road network and reduce travel time and transport costs.
Better health for young children
More than 37,000 rural households are receiving conditional cash transfers through an IDB-financed program to enable them to increase expenditures for food and improve access to health, and education services.
Neighborhood improvement
More than 7,300 households in low-income settlements and other urban areas are being provided with improved services and neighborhood infrastructure with the support of an IDB-financed program aimed at raising standards of living.
